REVIEW:
by Oh! Hailey from the message boards

“We got to our hotel in Spokane about 1, got ready and then wandered around down by the venue, eventually seeing Jerome who called Guy (tour manager) and had him come get us when they were ready for soundcheck. We went in when they started and for about the first 1/2 hour it was just us, then some radio winners came in and they finished soundcheck and talked to everyone. We chatted with the guys for a while, and I had them sign the crazy picture of us all from Boise, which they all thought was pretty insane. Jon knew exacatly where it was and Drew was speechless and finally just said “wow…this is EPIC.” The radio winners were getting a picture with all the guys and asked me to jump in, and then Tim gathered all the guys back together to get one of just me and them.”

“We then went into the restaurant and had something to eat, then were able to work again, so we went in and got our passes and helped hand out flyers. I got to go into the venue before the doors opened, and ~Daisy~ got right in front next to me too.”

“The show was again great, they played: dirty second hands, we are one tonight, ammunition, gone, american dream, awakening, on fire, faust, midas, and myself, this is your life, easier than love, stars, learning to breathe 4:12, oh! gravity, meant to live, only hope and dare you to move. The highlight for me was probably Only Hope since it’s the first time I’ve heard it live. Learning to Breathe also sounded great, I love hearing the older ones. The Spokane crowd was pretty rowdy, at least more so that Eugene.”

After the show there was a meet and greet in a crowded hallway upstairs so I ran up just to tell the guys great job, and talked to Tim and Drew a little bit about the Seattle venue.”

next time, i say Switchfoot either does all the songs on different CD’s, or the have a few CD’s that have all the songs, first come first served, or last but not least, you choose to have a few immediatley, or wait till most people are gone to have them put all the songs on your CD.

The Spokane show was the best concert that I have been to in a long time. The band played every song that I wanted to hear except Chem 6a. They played with more passion and more energy than I have seen from someone on stage in awhile. Thanks for rockin’ it for us.

I thought this show was good for what it was, the set was pretty forgettable though. The songs from the latest album aren’t really all that new sounding so it felt a lot like the last time they came to town. It would also be nice if next time they had some kind of mc for the night to say who the bands are and when the intermission will be over. It seemed like we had to wait forever for Switchfoot to come on. Also, no offense to Copeland but they really need a new opening act. I think a band like Sanctus Real would fit the bill.

I actually went to this concert because I received a free ticket for escorting 3 young ladies to your show. I wasn’t a fan at the time. I heard some of your music, but never really got into it. To my surprise, I found your music to be both challenging & inspirational. Y’all put on an awesome show. This is one of the best concerts I’ve been to. I was in the second row, center stage. Definitely the best seats I ever had. I even stood outside after the show for an hour or so, so the young ladies could get your autographs, and so I could take your pictures with them. Thank you for doing that, it meant a lot to them. They are definitely some of your biggest fans, and I’ve joined em’. It was a pleasure meeting y’all. I’ll see you at the Creation Northwest Festival. Can’t wait. You’ve totally changed my outlook on Christian rock music, and broadened my horizon. Thank you. May you continue to bless us with awesome challenging music for years to come.
