REVIEW:
by SwItChDaNcEr from the message boards

“Hey guys!I am back!I’m Mj for all who don’t know and I went to the “boston” show as they put it lol. It was AMAZING!!And the CRAZIEST Switchfoot show I have ever been too!But let be start at the begining. I got to the venue around 2ish with only one person there, She got there at 10:30 INTHEMORNING!Haha die hard much? She was awesome. The guys were already there and I saw romey in the bus and tim walking from the bus inside. OH yes, and let me say that it wasn’t THAT cold when I got there till like 4ish maybe? But it got cold later on. Of course standing out in the cold for 6 hours was way more than worth it. The doors opened at about 7 and i dashed for the front, after being checked by security. I was 2nd row a little to the left of jon. I don’t remember the setlist in order, and I probably either forgot songs, or added ones in that they didn’t play lol. I am so tired right now.”

“Stars
Oh!Gravity
4:12
American Dream
Dare You To Move
Gone!
This Is Your Life
COMPANY CAR!!
ONLY HOPE!!
BLUES!!
Faust Midas And Myself”

“All the songs were really awesome, but I espeically loved the songs[which i can’t remember at the moment] were romey played the tambourine? The things that has bells on it lol and this other cool thing i can’t remember the name of. Oh!And the piano jump!RADZILLA!!That’s the first time i’ve seen that in person. And the clapping in 4:12 me and my friends and tim were doing it. He saw us hehe and said we were awesome!I tooks tons of pics. I’ll post them later. After the show we waited near the bus for the guys to come out. There were about maybe 10 people or so waiting, maybe 15.The secrity guy was trying to tell us they went back to the hotel or something. Seriously, do they think we’re THAT stupid lol.We were like,”mmhmm” and didn’t budge haha. So not to long after jon comes out with his backpack and we say hi and everything and we just talked for a little while. I didn’t want to keep him there, cause it was cold and he wanted to get back to the hotel. He signed my foot,:] and cd And I got a picture. Even though this is known fact, he is sooo sweet! So nice and caring. And he sounds younger and person haha.Yeah in person it’s different. Basically we just thanked him a billion times for coming out and playing there and such. After jon did his thing with everyone he hopped into a rental car, i’m assuming and drove back to the hotel. Chad came out a littlebit later. He was funny. He was like,”I can’t wait to go back to SD, where it’s warm!” haha.I got a pic with chad Then tim came out and told us he saw us clapping to 4:12. He signed my foot also :] :sigh: the guys are so incredible nice. I wish that night, or any sf night for that matter, could last forever. When we have to leave it’s like you’re being torn away. So I got home at 1ish and have the infamous “Switchfoot Withdrawl” And that’s all folks! I shall perhaps post anymore details i remember, and pics later.”

ive never heard lonley nation played that well befored it was absolutely incredible

Comment by shelby — March 8, 2007 @ 8:11 pm

i was up front and this song was stellar.

i went to providence the next night (last night), and the set was a lot better…

but no Lonely Nation :(.

Comment by greg h — March 9, 2007 @ 7:14 am

Providence was definitely a “better” show. The band had more energy and the crowd wasn’t obnoxious like Worcester. Great job guys.

Amazing show! I was up front and Jon wore my hat. he says my name on the company car track!!

Comment by Peter — March 9, 2007 @ 2:01 pm

I thought the Worcester setlist was amazing!!! you guys all complain, but you can’t diss it. I saw the, in Seattle a few weeks ago and then went to this show and the difference 2 weeks made is insane! Yeah the crowd surfers got annoying about 5 songs in, but thats part of rock shows….I have witnessed far worse….don’t complain, just enjoy.

Lonely Nation!!

Comment by Deborah — March 10, 2007 @ 3:15 am

haha peter! i was right next to you, i patted your back and said “good for youuuuu” when he took your hat…lol.

and also, im not really complaining — Worcester was a great night, but the fans WERE really annoying. and switch was way more energetic in prov.

I was one of the very first people right there in front. Absolutely amazing show. Yeah, the crowd surfers did get kind of annoying, especially since it was the same kids, but I still won’t complain because it was one of the best shows ever. We totally rocked it out. Lonely Nation was frickin awesome, Company Car was a great surprise, and I got my song The Blues which I voted for vigorously. On a side note, me and my friend hug out with Heather , the girl with her birthday, all night long. What a birthday present for her! Plus, it was cool to see how Switch just brings us all together. Great show for all who rocked it out with me, I hope they come back to the Palladium again.

Wow amazing show!! Yeah the crowd surfers were obnoxious but totally worth it… was up in the front row AND got Jon’s guitar pick that he used throughout the whole show!!!

I hope they come back to NH or MA soon!!

Comment by Alex — March 10, 2007 @ 11:58 am

Anyone know if the songs from the Providence show are gonna be up soon?

Comment by Cameron — March 10, 2007 @ 12:38 pm

the setlist was a good mix of new and old. I enjoyed it just about as much as I enjoyed the Providence show. The crowd was really really great, I thought. It usually is though at the Palladium.

Comment by Katers — March 10, 2007 @ 4:57 pm

Yes this show was the best so far!Deffinetly the best night of my life. I was so stoked when they played only hope and the blues. And i’m always happy when they play company car, or any oldies for that matter. AWESOME, AWESOME ahow.

Comment by Sarah — March 11, 2007 @ 9:11 am

I went too. I was down there in the mosh pit! It was mad crazy! I LOVED it!!! And I touched Jon!!!!! I was so pumped!

Comment by Kelsey — March 12, 2007 @ 2:16 pm

I had way more fun at the providence show as well, it was just better on the fan/energy part. Plus how cute was the kid with the cowbell? haha, that’s awesome of Jon.

But I did enjoy traveling and seeing the guys again.

Comment by Rachel aka AntiFlapunkXV — March 13, 2007 @ 7:58 am

I agree with Sarah that this was the best so far. For this olde dude the Providence crowd was more behaved yet still had energy. Please guys, do a show in Boston!

Comment by Chip — March 13, 2007 @ 1:20 pm

This was my 8th Switchfoot show, and it was AWESOME…..as usual!!!
I was so pumped that not only did they play Lonely Nation (one of only 3 places they’ve played it on the entire tour!!!), but it made it onto the bootleg cd!!!!

Can’t wait to see them again!!!

Comment by Alan — March 16, 2007 @ 6:44 am
