After shows in Charleston, SC on Saturday and Asheville, NC on Sunday, this Monday night show in Columbia, SC was relatively uncrowded. Probably most people in Carolinas went to the weekend shows. So I got there sort of late but was able to get the first row spot. I was worried that Switchfoot guys were worn out by this show because I had noticed that this was their 9th night to play consecutively without any day off. Contrary to my worries, there was a lot of energy amongst the band and Jon’s voice sounded just fine.

The crowd was not so crazy like the previous Switchfoot shows I’ve been to which was a nice change. There were more people who were interested in actually listening to their music than just getting drunk and being crazy. I really wanted them to play “Learning to breathe” but the song had lost the voting contest by one vote to “Let that be enough”. But I still enjoyed the entire experience. I hope you guys enjoy the bootleg!

Whoever finally uploaded these songs rocks my world.

This show was sick. True, not as crazy as I thought it would have been- my friend got kicked out(but snuck back in) for crowd surfing, but it was still a great concert.

This was actually the first concert I’ve been to (not including Orchestral, Opera, Plays, and Band concerts) and it was certainly not a disappointment! I was expecting Jon’s voice to be completely different from the CD since I heard one of my other favorite singers on a live recording and it was terrible(the recording of the other singer, NOT Switchfoot)!
I came with some friends and found some more friends there and luckily was in the front row! Nevertheless I couldn’t stop talking about Switchfoot for atleast 2 weeks!
GREAT concert!

I LOVED the Concert! It was my first concert to go to and I was in the first row! I was extremely happy to now that they actually sing very well and that the didn’t edit their voice on the computer inorder to sing well!
Thank you Switchfoot!

Switchfoot ROCKS!!! This was the first time I’d seen them in concert and I had a great time! (aside from all the smoking-which signs prohibited- and the drinking) Once the show got going, it was great. Switchfoot is definitely the “thinking” man’s band- lots of great challenging songs- and rocking music, of course. It was so cool to hear songs all the way back from the first and second albums- particularly “Company Car” and “Let that Be Enough”. I would have loved to have heard “Underwater”, “Chem 6A”, “Something More (Augustine’s Song)”, “New Way to Be Human” and “Learning to Breathe”- but they could only play so many. They did play almost all of “The Beatuiful Letdown” album- one of my favorites! I love “Gone”, “This is Your Life”, “Meant to Live”, and “24″- so it was great to hear all those. And some good ones from “Nothing is Sound”- like “The Shadow Proves the Sunshine”- awesome! And of course, from “Oh! Gravity”- one of my favorites from there- “American Dream”.
Switchfoot has so many incredible songs. It was great to hear this incredible Christian rock band in concert. And I loved watching all of Jon’s incredible energy as he was jumping around and moving all over the place. And I love that at the end, though I couldn’t make out everything, Jon talked about the life that we were “meant to live” and that we really can’t fully experience that without knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. That’s the “new way to be human”. Like Augustine, I know that “there’s gotta be something more than what I’m living for”. That’s why I’m crying out to Jesus and asking for Him to let His love be strong. :-)
