This show rocked my face off. I’ve seen the ‘Foot play about 7-8 times now, and this was easily the best show of theirs I’ve seen.

The Jon-Tim version of “Let That Be Enough” brought back great memories of what made me connect with this band back when I first saw them on their New Way To Be Human Tour in ‘99. Hearing “Company Car” live again was also a treat for many longtime fans. And of course, their jams were just ridiculously intense as usual.

Jon simply makes the ‘Foot’s live shows amazing by getting the crowd involved and making us a key element of the show. What other lead singer just gets down from the stage and walks through the entire crowd with a rope light that the audience can hold up during his next song?

Kudos to Switchfoot for putting on an incredible show that won’t soon be forgotten. If you still have a chance to see these guys during this tour, go see them. Twenty bucks is a small price to pay for the experience you’ll have.

We Are One from this night is awesome.

This show is HOT. I’m serious, after listening to a few tracks off this bootleg, my jaw is on the floor. “Let That Be Enough” is a welcome addition. The version of “Awakening” is very well done with the extended intro and everything. And “Dirty Second Hands” is downright awesome here. The performance of the main song is very tight and menacing, and the jam is possibly better than the famous CD USA one. Highly recommended.

haha… wow. that show was AMAZING. i got front row! when jon came out on the railing, he stopped smackdab in front of me. i rested my arm on his foot. haha… everybody else had their hands up, but it would be so awkward if i did that too, being that he was right above me, so i just put my arm on his leg. it wasnt weird… cuz he was covering my whole arm area on the railing, so i just put them somewhere. lol.
i have some awesome pics from the show on my myspace. www.myspace.com/aliensaliensaliens. come check ‘em out, and add me! id love to talk to you guys who went!
i got them to sign my guitar afterwards, too! :)
they’re such an amazing group of guys.

This was a great show. Switchfoot always does something to floor me every concert. No band out there does a better job of intentionally establishing a connection with the audience.

Memories from this concert:
1) The junior highers sitting on the stairs
2) Chad wearing a clear plastic mask for a song (kinda creepy, but funny)
3) The guy with the pink cast that Jon called out from the stage
4) Jon coming through the crowd to sing The Shadow Proves the Sunshine from the middle of the audience.
5) Hearing Let That Be Enough performed live, when I thought I would never hear that song live again
6) Jon responding to me on the bootleg. (During Drew’s Song, when Jon mentions the chandeliers, I yell, and he looks at me and says “You know what I’m talking about.”
7) The guy selling pizzas right outside when the concert was done. Sitting on a curb with the people you came with, eating a pizza, chilling out from another great show. 8) Meeting Jon afterward. I took some digital video of it. Is there a place to post it here?
9) Rocking out with a few thousand of your closest friends

Dudes the whole show was perfect! I really loved it. I was like going crazy. Jon did his light thing again that was cool. Man that was funny when Chad had that mask of Jon on LOL! I also liked how they connected with the audience. I have read many things Jon has said about how he wants to connect with the crowd and he does it great. Afterwards we waited by their bus and Jon came out so we talked a bit and got a pic and sig. It was awesome! I also got Drew’s. Man what an awesome concert. And remember stay classy Houston!

Another thing I would recommend is going to iTunes and downloading Switchfoot’s video podcast. It’s free and it’s hilarious watching these dudes behind the scenes. There’s a recent podcast where Drew and Tim attempt to try out for Canadian Idol.

So during one break of silence at this Houston show I screamed “Drew Shirley - Canadian Idol!!!” Apparently Jon thought I said “Drew Shirley is classy,” because that’s when he went into his shpiel about Drew Shirley being classy and being from Texas. It didn’t get the desired response, but oh well, at least I can say I contributed something to the show besides 10 gallons of sweat on the Warehouse floor.

Hah! That was the best concert I’ve ever been to!
The mask of Jon that Chad had (somehow) was great.
And during 4:12 when Tim was doing the clapping pattern! That was great, because we all were trying to get it right but we couldn’t, and he was laughing.

THIS concert was the best of their whole tour, as they say on the daily foot. Oh yeah.
